What does it do?
It will display a crosshair over the chosen process or window until you stop it.
What's new:
- Rewritten from scratch and more neater (from coding perspective)
- The crosshair should always in the correct place no matter what computer you use.
- There is a crosshair preview now to see what each crosshair looks like.
- No flicker whatsoever because of a new drawing method (no longer uses SetPixel)
- There's now a process list and window list.
* Choosing a process will only target the process' main window.
* The window list contains ALL windows in your taskbar, not just the main window's of the processes. This means you can easily target a specific window.
- New crosshair designs: Dot and Large Dot.
- You can now select a specific colour using the colour selector.
- You can now adjust the X and Y offset of the crosshair (although you really don't need this)
Can I get banned for this?
Absolutely not, this does not hook, write or read any memory from another process. The only thing it does is display a crosshair on a window.
Does this work on fullscreen games?
No (although I haven't tried), that'd require hooking DirectX which could result in a ban.

How do I use this?
- Download and extract the attachment
- Run External Crosshair v3.exe
- Click on Settings and choose a crosshair design, change the colour if you want
- Close the window and click on Process.
- Choose a process to target (only processes with windows will appear), you can also type in the name of a process (it must be on the list). Alternatively, you can click on Window List and choose a specific window.
- Close the window and click Start.
- Enjoy! Click Stop to close/hide the crosshair.

I don't see a crosshair in Destiny 2. This game doesn't support 3rd party overlays. More details here. I want more overlays! During my search to find the best crosshair overlay solution, in the farthest regions of google, I found a program that was created for business, that, funny as it is, does the job better than mumble, Asus monitors, programs that were created especially for crosshair overlays, and whatever in between. Creating a custom crosshair overlay image is easy, and can be done very quickly using free online tools. One such tool is pixelartmaker.com. Draw your custom crosshair image, then save it (remember to set the size of each pixel as 1px) and copy the downloaded PNG into the 'Crosshairs' folder. As you move the mouse cursor, the lines follow over any program or window. This is useful for eyeballing any kind of chart or tabular data on screen, and for aligning objects in graphics or design applications. Hide on RMB: Toggle sometimes causes the crosshair to disappear. This is due to the overlay not being able to detect when ADS is toggled off. This is not a bug, but a technical limitation of ReShade. The overlay simply can't handle all the scenarios where the player can get out of ADS (other than pressing RMB).

Other crosshair programs offer a single style or color option, and often don't allow you to reposition them. CrossOver is a small, unintrusive crosshair overlay which has plenty of configuration options to assist with aiming and vision of your crosshair. CrossOver offers a huge improvement to many games' default crosshairs for those with colorblindness or contrast issues.

Because this app is Free and Open-Source, we cannot afford to sign our code. This means Chrome may warn about an untrusted download, this is normal. Click the arrow icon -> Keep to finish downloading. Windows Defender and Mac Gatekeeper will prevent you from running the app the first time.

Usage
Click and drag the crosshair to anywhere on any screen.
